King Stubb & Kasiva strengthens its leadership in India: New office in Mumbai and launch of its Entertainment Law practice

Our colleagues in India have announced a historic milestone in their history with a significant expansion of their operations in Mumbai. The firm has opened its third office in the city, strategically located in Andheri West, adding to its existing offices in Nariman Point and Lower Parel.

The new Andheri West office will serve as the nerve centre for the newly created Entertainment and Media Law practice. This division was created with the aim of offering strategic advice to India's vibrant advertising and digital content industries, establishing itself as a hub for creativity and legal innovation.

The specialised team has already begun to reap notable successes, representing major production companies in large-scale film projects:

  • People Media Factory: Advice on the Telugu feature film “Telusu Kada”, directed by Neeraja Kona.
  • Mythri Movie Makers: Representation for the Tamil action comedy “Dude”, directed by Keerthiswaran.

In both projects, the KSK team provided comprehensive end-to-end legal and transactional advice, ranging from the structuring of production agreements and casting contracts to the negotiation of music rights and multi-platform distribution agreements (theatrical, satellite and digital), ensuring legally sound commercial exploitation.
